Nagging

Chemistry Lab class is like a nightmare for me now. Everytime we enter the class, he would ask us not to slack off. And his nagging would never end.

Situation was not the same for the first few session of lab class. We enjoyed doing the experiment With his lame joke,we enjoyed doing the experiment. We divided the experiment into several parts and each group of us was assigned to different part. For example, if the experiment consists of three parts A,B and C, each group would do one part. In this way, we could finish our the experiment and leave the class earlier. But nightmare started from last week onwards. He didnt allow us to perform "team work" anymore. According to him, we are only wasting the money since we didnt make use of the resources that we paid for it completely.Fine, this is quite a good reason.

The terrible part is none other than his sarcastic remark. He claimed that our team spirit is very good because most of our reports are almost the same. We only cooperated during the experiment but we never copy each other work. So he changed his policy:we are not allowed to type our report anymore. We have to handwrite it instead.

And during the previous lab experiment, he rearranged our seats, whereby three groups of us occupied the front seats. What an honor right. And he even said that he would like to invigilate our progress and sign our results. But he never do that. So by the time we finished our experiment, he doubted our efficiency and claimed that we can only do our experiment sequentially starting from next Monday onwards. Woa so many rules and regulations!

Six of us are blacklisted for this Chemistry Lab. What a sad case.
But i am anticipating the next class because I wana see how is he going to conduct his so-called sequential policy.

Paradise

I am supposed to update this post last weekend. But life at home was too busy that I didnt have the time to update. I was kinda of anticipating that short weekend break because it was the only chance that I could meet most of my friends before they furthering their studies at universities. So I planned a lot of activities for that particular weekend, but was able to get a few things done only.

Here are the pictures that we took during the gathering.

From left to right:Kai Chi, Kai Xin and Geok Xin.

Pei Fen, Shi Hwee and me.

Caryn

At a souvenir shop.We tried to molest the cute monkey toy there haha

The famous "Five Smell" stall at the roadside.

Huhu the "Five Smells"which is strongly recommended by Mr Chan. It is actually some sorts of fish chips, toufu, fried carrot cake, popiah etc. High caloric food but it is a must when people come to visit Muar.

The complement of Five Smells--Tong Shui. I can only drink this special tong shui at Muar. The sticky fluid with the 油炸条is the most perfect match ever.

This picture was actually taken during the previous gathering. It is a sweet memory to eat dessert by the roadside. Safety is guaranteed and the breezy wind is rejuvenating. This is another special part of my hometown.

Muar is definitely a food paradise with her infinite choices of delicious food. You name the food and you can get it there easily. The rates are cheap and reasonable some more. Dwellers are friendly and generous with the exceptions of some uncivilized people. Although we do not have decent cinema and shopping complex here, the palatable food and the friendliness of people far exceed the pleasure that I get when indulging in expensive entertainment at KL.

Happy Birthday

Seem 18june is an important day for many people Happy Birthday to Fatt Chi and Stephanie. By the time we went to bakery, there were two groups of people celebrating birthday there. What a meaningful day!

So yesterday night, we had a small celebration for FattChi. The plan to surprise the birthday boy failed totally when he came downstairs exactly at 12sthg to take supper. So we didnt have time at all to hide ourselves, and here by I declared that our planned was ruined.

So today INOPE had another celebration for him. We went to Loon Sing for dinner. Since there was no bus service there, we took two taxi there. The rates of foods are high and not up to my expectation. Maybe i should try the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall if i have enough money. Then i will have a good impression towards that restaurant. But everything is about SAVE SAVE SAVE. So no nice food after today =(

The seafood omelette.

The black pepper fish fillet

BJOW. Could only see it but couldnt taste it. Treated by Wui Yarn.

Lettuce?

Four of us, Justin, Kah Yee, Jyo Lyn and I.Picture taken by the couple, Wui Yarn and Fatt Chi.

The one who is sitting is our birthday boy, FattChi.

Just a short update since homework is flowing in unceasingly. Once again, Happy Birthday to FattChi and hope you will remember the celebration that we had for you.You know la..ur memory storage is damn small. No STM(short-term memory) this time, ok!

Piece of Thought

Finally, the marathon of tests had ended finally. On the other hand, extra classes take over the race proudly. It will never come to an end.

Just realized how unambitious I am. People around are planning their routes for future, like which famous university to apply and what job to choose after graduation. I am still slacking behind without any proper planning. I do not even know what are the five universities that I am going to apply this year. I want a stress- free study environment. I dont want a competitive environment in which ranking and result predominate other things. I am tired of that kind of race.

But i know wish is a dream afterall. I doubt the existence of a stress- free environment. Family are putting high hopes on you and friends are heading along their path without much hesitance. Being borned in a small town, the life is simple and enjoyable. I dont have much difficulty to catch up with the moderate pace of life. But after coming to a decent town, life has changed completely. People coming from all parts of the country are intelligent and shrewd enough. Their ways of life is totally different from my original pace. I take time to adjust to it by increasing my pace, and now I am still on the battle field, facing all types of possible treats, with an uncertainty of victory or loss. I might get hurt, but still there is a chance to defeat the battle.

There is still a long long way to go. And i wonder how long can my determination can persist, and how many more challenges I have to take. But i know, I am not alone . Thanks for all the encouragement and supports. Sometimes I wish I can enter carrer field as soon as possible. But relatives said studying is definitely more enjoyable and relaxing than working. I am still young and I dont have much experience on this. One time of working experience exposed me to the complication of human relationship in career field. Sis keeps telling me that studying is the most happy duration throughout the life. I know I should appreciate and enjoy what I am doing now.

No Cure for Carelessness

Omg my memory is getting worse and worse. This was the first time I left my handphone outside the shop lot after dinner. How careless I was. I didnt discovered it until I felt like checking inbox of message. I thought i left it at one of the corner of my room. Frantic search didnt help much and roomie tried to call my number. A girl answered the call and told us that my handphone was with her just now. So we walked all the way form Block S to Maxim to retrieve my handphone. We were sweaty and roomie even felt hungry. Pity her a lot for accompanying me outside there. I know my carelessness had caused a lot of troubles sometimes. But somehow I donoe how to change this habit. It is innate since my dad is quite sloppy at time. And very unluckily, I inherited this gene from him.

This week is going to be a marathon of tests. Have to sit for three tests consecutively from Tuesday To Thursday. Have extra class on Wednesday and Thursday some more. I will definitely be exhausted at the end of this week. But when I think about the way back to home on Friday, the happiness is back again.

Dim Sum vs Heartcount

Finally, the appetites is recovering fully after a much scrumptious meal compared to the Inti's food. Having mush anticipation, I thought the famous Nilai duck rice would be served in front of me in the afternoon. Very unluckily, the shop had sold out all the ducks within half an hour and we were left with no other better choice. Heartcount made the decision for us, and here we were:A dim sum shop at Nilai.

Hearcount's Ferrari. According to him, he had modified the Vios and this modified car is much safer though not as fast as the real Ferrari. What a cute lecturer!

He leaded our way to the famous duck rice shop. He has no camera shyness, seriously.

All the ducks had been sold out and left one chicken only. Look at the crispy and shiny skin of the chicken, I bet the duck must be very nice.

The lotus soup. Home-made soup is nicer hehe

Assorted varieties of dim sum. Hearcount ordered and recommended all the dim sum to us.The brinjal at the bottom left of this pic is quite nice. But i still couldnt conquer my dislike for brinjal.

The chicken rice.

The "lotus leaf rice"(direct translation). It tasted like dumpling or bak zhang.

Donoe what to call this dim sum. A ball with red bean paste inside there.

Thank you Hearcount for treating us to dim sum. Although no duck rice this time, I hope there will be another chance for us to taste the most palatable duck rice.

He is really good at crapping. Get a lot of fun when talking with him, esp when he translate a specific term directly from Mandarin to English. And he is good at collecting information from the students. Once a new couple is formed, he wont be the last one to know about that. In fact, he might know more details than we do.

Hungry?Full?

What an unproductive day is!Today had only 2classes since Accounting class was cancelled. Staying at hostel for the whole afternoon is not much different from weekend's life.

For unknown reason, I dont feel like eating these few days. My body is giving out signal that I am really getting ennui of the food here. Or izit because my health is at risk?! Take Tuesday as an example. Since I have marathon of class on that day, normally I would get myself several pieces of sandwich once there is a break. I would eat anything edible as long as I dont feel hungry. But for yesterday, I didnt take lunch and I never complaint about the empty stomach. Contradictorily,I complaint about the full stomach while my friends were searching for food frantically. It was considered weird and for today also, the crispy Chipsmore couldnt satisfy me anymore. It is weird!

And after 10more minutes, I am going to take dinner but I have no ideal on the food. I just feel like drinking soup. Kai Xin, cook and deliver it to me !

A Great Lesson

It rains everyday and dining hall life is going to begin very soon haiz...

For chemistry lab, I was assigned to a new partner who studied at independent school. So during the lab session,  I learnt a great deal about the system of independent school. It seems like the students there are exposed to a wide array of knowledge and they have a deep understanding towards a particular topic. They had covered most of the calculus 1 syllabus and they even have a subject like CSC. Friendly, easygoing and talkative...these are the qualities that they posses and the list will never end. There is hardly any silent moment in between the conversation. So I will say it is nice to have friends from independent school. Now only I realized why some parents insisted to send their children to independent school.  But my parents never considered about it when I was in standard 6.If I was sen to independent school, I would be a totally different person now and I am sure the transformation would be a better one.

But all in all, I am contented with the 5years of education that I received in SABGS. Nice friends are beside me when I need them. And I miss the time we called each other "darling". It sounds so lesbian-ish but the affection is just beyond description. My parents and I didnt make a wrong choice afterall. I am gratify with I have. Thanks for everything!

no strike plz

A whole morning and afternoon without internet connection really irritated me. Had to study without the accompany of laptop to the extent that I became sleepy easily. Although still able to listen to radio using handphone, I was not contented with it. Heard about a message from the  radio:youngsters today spent more than 6hours per day surfing internet. I have to admit that it is quite true for me .

Prior before this, Yu Xin told me it is easy to get addicted to internet. I thought I wont be the victim because I could hardly gain access to internet in secondary school. But now I am wrong totally. Unfortunately, I declare myself as the victim of internet addiction. The pleasure of surfing internet is so irresistible to the extent that I would rather sacrifice my sleep for it. And internet is particularly important in this isolated land. And with the convenience of msn also, i have saved a lot of money on phone bill.

But things happen contradictorily at home. I can get through life happily without internet at home. The reason is simple enough: there are much more entertainment waiting ahead of me. But still internet is considered a complement to the interesting home life.

Internet,I know you are important to me. i plead you not to initiate  a strike anymore. Please stay responsible to ur duty. You are noble and nothing can take over ur role.
